Baptism in the Holy Spirit One of the key challenges that lies before the human race today is the question of meaning and purpose. Over the millennia, philosophers have struggled to give us that in a variety of ways.  Indeed, they have sought to incoprorate every conceivable world view that has surfaced during the existence of the human race - religious and otherwise. Alongside such benevolent thinkers, are those - like Richard Dawkins, et al - who say that all religion is a waste of time because there is no supreme deity anyway. Predictably, Dawkins does not get a ‘Good Press’ from people who have a god of some kind, especially the Christian world.  But, we need to ask ourselves seriously, ‘Is Dawkins really that far out, or should one scratch beneath his atheistic veneer?’  Is it just possible that Dawkins and many others, are simply sick of religion with its accompanying illusions - irrespective of what that religion is called? Religion is a manmade ‘thing’!  It is the attempt by human beings to somehow influence the powers of the Universe to give the petitioner ‘a better deal’ - what ever that may entail. However, there is one single factor that has NEVER been brought to the attention of people is the fact that the Creator of all has also deposited His Moral Code with us; and that Code is contained in only one Holy Book in the world, and that is the Hebrew Bible - commonly referred to by the non-Jewish world as the Old Testament.  Do you know that the word religion cannot be found anywhere in the pages of that book? But, what can be found is the longing of the Creator to have a relationship with the creatures He made. Simply put, there cannot be any meaning to life until we synchronise our life with Him Who made us - in accordance with His Instruction, which are commonly referred to as the Law! Would you believe, that this word cannot be found in the Bible either?  How come?  Because our Creator wants a relationship with us driven by our free will!  To teach us how, he has given us a book full of Instructions on how to develop this relationship.
